For those who are looking to raid with us or are actively raiding, it's important that you squeeze every drop out of performance out of your gear. Don't skimp on the cheap enchants, please. Don't put a rare quality gem in piece of gear you're going to be raiding in.
There are easy enough ways to get the mats for the highest level of enchants. Do dailies and in the process you'll find some greens, mail those off to some of our enchanters and ask for a DE.
Gems can be had for 10k honor a pop. That's 150 stone keeper shards, and being alliance, I'm sure you have plenty. Turn them into wintergrasp commendations, use them and buy gems from the PvP vendor in SW. If there's a pattern that Shougeki and Baane don't have that you'll be needing fairly regularly, drop us a note, and we'll put it on the list of patterns to pick up.
This goes along with the idea that "sufficient is good enough" isn't the attitude we want raiders keeping. The people that really push the limits of what they are able to do with their character don't ever see "good enough" - I honestly don't think it's something they ever want to see. Inclusive in that is making sure they have the best enchants and gems.
This applies to -every- role. If you think that extra bit of stamina doesn't help the tank, you're wrong. If you think the extra bit of SP or mana management stats don't help the healer, I'm still seeing tanks dying on boss fights where they shouldn't. If you think that extra bit of DPS doesn't help, then you're never going to be able to compete with those that do and constantly crush the charts. Keep that in mind. _________________ -- Kyuushi. 80 Resto Druid |
